Sheri Leigh Pittcock, 50, of Jonesboro, AR, passed away on September 26, 2014 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House due to complications of Alzheimer's and congestive heart failure.
Funeral services will be held at Roller Farmer Funeral Home chapel, 1900 West Washington Avenue Sunday at 3:00pm with Edward Pruitt and Richard Akins officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service at the funeral home Sunday at 2:00pm.
Burial will be at Rockdale Cemetery in Haskell County Texas at a future date under the direction of Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.
Sheri was born in Seymour, TX to Bill and Rayleen Pittcock on September 12, 1964. She attended the Seymour schools until the 11th grade and also the Texas DHS Workshop for many years. Sheri worked at the Seymour Memorial Hospital and The Farmers National Bank, primarily shredding paper. After moving to Jonesboro in 2007, she attended The Learning Center for 3 ½ years. She enjoyed going to church, swinging in the porch swing, shooting basketballs, bowling, collecting DVDs and watching her favorite 70s and 80s TV shows, General Hospital and scrapbooking her favorite TV actresses. Sheri also loved to travel and had been to 29 states and 2 foreign countries. She had participated in Special Olympics since she was 6 years old and won many medals and ribbons throughout the years. She was a member of the Bono church of Christ and honorary member of ASU Museum Garden Club.
Sheri is survived by her sister, Dr. J. Kim Pittcock of the home, sister LuAnn Johnston (James) of Llano, TX, niece Katie (Kevin) Widmer of Taylor, TX, nephew Scott Johnston (Lauren) of Bono, AR, great nephew Landon Widmer (TX) and great niece Abbi Johnston (Bono). She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial donations may be made to the Bono Church of Christ Food Pantry, 101 Craftsbury, Bono, AR 72416 or Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to her caregivers throughout the last few years, Vaneasa Kaffka, Tasha Clark, Alysa Fenner, and Clara Prince.

It breaks my heart to hear of Sheri's Passing... She was a sweet and loving woman.. She will be missed greatly... TLC has really missed her!! You and the rest of the family are in my thoughts and prayers...

Dear Family, I am so sorry to read of the lost of your sister. I didn't know her personally I just read her obit in the paper. God's word promises us a time in the future when no one will be sick. Isaiah 33:24 it also promises us a resurrection to which she has a hope for John5:28-29 please be comforted by his word.

Sheri, you did all that you could do in your lifetime and that was an inspiration to others. You were a winner in more ways than just in the Special Olympics. Now you are on a new journey in Heaven. i wish you happy trails. I was happy to have met you. You called me "Yella" .
