LaVonne Nash, 66, of North Little Rock, died Friday morning in her home beside the love of her life and her daughter that was continuously by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born to Ralph and Orland Burns, July 16, 1948, in Heber Springs, Arkansas. LaVonne married Elvin Nash on May 29, 1966.
LaVonne was an active member of North View Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Aransas. She loved going to the beach and taking care of her dogs, Tuffy and Sasha.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Burns, and her brother, Larry Burns.
LaVonne is survived by her mother, Orland Burns; her loving husband of forty eight years, Elvin Nash; her twin sister and best friend, LaVerne Reynolds; three children, Amy Nash, Julie Nash, and Greg Nash; five grandchildren, Kody Gill, Konley Gill, Brady Gill, Satchel Nash and Sophie Nash; daughter-in-law, Vandy Nash; a special friend of the family, Phillip Gill; and a host of other family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Monday, September 29, 2014 at North View Baptist Church with Brother Bill Rambo and Brother Paul Boliou officiating. Interment will follow at Arkansas Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd. North Little Rock, AR 72116 (501-791-7400).
We are so heartbroken to have heard about Mrs. Nash, and our sincerest sympathies go out to her family. She was such a kind, warm, encouraging woman and we loved seeing her come into the store. It was a true blessing to have known her even just in the small way we did. We will continue praying for peace and comfort for her family.
Please accept our sincere sympathy. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. May God wrap His loving arms around you and provide a peace and comfort that only He can is our prayer. May your tears turn into smiles as you remember the good times. Just know we care and are thinking of and praying for you. We met the twins at radiation and were blessed getting to visit with them.

So sorry for your loss.. I worked with LaVonne at the Credit Bureau when it was located downtown..Which would have been1968-1969...she was so helpful and kind to me...I still remember how excited she was that her and her husband had built a new home..the office gave her a shower for her new home.. I'm so blessed to have known LaVonne...her new home is Heaven where she has no pain..God bless each of you..
