Bobbie Clotine Baker

of Pangburn, AR

November 21, 1924 - September 3, 2014

Bobbie Clotine Baker was the fifth child born to the late James Earl Baker, Sr., and Clara Marsh Baker of Pangburn, Arkansas. She was born November 21, 1924 in Letona, Arkansas and departed this life on Wednesday September 3, 2014, leaving an extended Family who loved her dearly and whom she loved in return.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Elmer Baker and two sisters Lola Vernon and Genevie Baker.
She is survived by one brother, James Earl Baker, Jr. (Charlsie), two sisters Mozelle Marsh and Patsy Baker all of Pangburn. Bobbie's love extended out to nieces and nephews, two nieces Carol Jones (Don), and Darliss Treat (Cleve) of Pangburn, four nephews, Jerry Vernon (Linda), David Baker, Ronn Baker (Stephany) all of Pangburn and Jimmy Baker of North Little Rock.
Bobbie was a member of the Pangburn United Methodist Church. She was an active member, cleaning the church, decorating the church as well as painting and mowing are just a few of the endless list of services to her church community.
Bobbie worked as a telephone operator when Pangburn had a central telephone office. After the telephone service became dial, Bobbie went to work for Clary (Eaton) working there 30 years before retiring.
Bobbie was a woman of great strength and character, always sacrificing her needs to help others. She was the first to step forward if a family member was in need of help. She never met a stranger and had a special calling to help people in crisis.
Bobbie was always full of fun and kept everyone laughing, She never met anyone that she could not bring a smile to their face with her great humor and personality.
Words cannot express how deeply she will be missed by so many that loved her. She had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel special and loved. She was a very special lady. She will always live within our hearts. We request that Bobbie's legacy of unyielding, unconditional love be continued by all that knew her.
To celebrate her life there will be a visitation at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home in
Searcy on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 6-8 PM.
Funeral Services in the Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 2:30 PM. Burial will follow at Henderson Cemetery in Pangburn.
Her beloved nephews will serve as pallbearers. Bro. Kenneth Roland, Jr., Bro. Richard Rodgers and Bro. Jack Auten will be officiating.

To the Baker Family,
My sincere sympathy is with each of you at this time. I know how much Ms. Bobbie will be missed by each of you especially her sisters who have been together every time I have seen one of them. I know that she is with you still in a very strong way and will always be. My prayers and love for all of you.

To the wonderful family of Bobbie baker. I don't know how you will make it without her, but The Lord will carry you. According to my mom ruby Johnson and my mo-law Clara Jackson, who claimed her as their friend and work colleague , she was the life of the gathering anywhere she was. They loved her so. How blessed we are to know her and your precious family. Pat Jackson

I can see Bobbie when she was the telephone operator and all of us teenagers would call up there and wake her. She never got mad at any of us, she just played around and joked with us all. I have loved Bobbie for a long time and I am praying for all of the family in the loss of her. She will be missed.

My memory of her is always seeing her with her sisters at the ballgames watching Darla play & then later seeing them with her at different times. Always seems happy.

Bobbie's quick wit and beautiful smile will be missed by the family plus her large circle of friends. I cherish the memories of sparring with and teasing her!! Bobbie loved her family dearly. She enjoyed the trips with Cleve, Darliss, Patsy and Mozelle!!! My favorite memory is of Mozelle, Bobbie & Patsy riding in the Pangburn 4th of July Parade, in one of Cleve's convertibles, with a sign reading "We're not the Dixie Chicks....We're the Pangburn Old Hens". Wonderful sense of humor. Loved by all!!
