Milton "Buddy" Pinkston

March 30, 1936 - August 20, 2014

Milton ''Buddy'' Pinkston, 78, of Harrisburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born March 30, 1936 to R.M. and Ruth Blaylock Pinkston. Buddy was a farmer and mechanic. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Harrisburg and he served in the U.S. Army.

Buddy was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Nancy Hart Pinkston; a son and a daughter; a brother, Charles Pinkston; and a sister, Virgie Garrett.

Survivors include his wife Betty Crump Pinkston; a son and his wife, Wayne and Jessica Pinkston of Harrisburg; four grandchildren, Patrick Dixon, Brandon Pinkston, Whitney Pinkston and Sarah Pinkston; and two sisters, Virginia Wilson of Horn Lake, MS and Vera Gean of Maynard, AR.

Visitation will be 5:30-8 pm Friday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.

Chapel services will be 10 am Saturday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home with Tommy Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Marked Tree Cemetery.

Brad Carter, Ricky Carter, James Kirby, Timmy Pierce, Leslie Smith and Duane Webb will serve as active pallbearers.

Tyler Crump, Gerald Hill, Mike Garrett and Mike Garrett Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
