David Henry PrattI am a Veteran.

of Conway, AR

May 1, 1936 - August 14, 2014

David Henry Pratt went to be with the Lord on August 14, 2014, at the Courtyard Health and Rehabilitation Center in El Dorado, Arkansas, after battling bravely with several health conditions for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Mildred Pratt, his brother, Curtis Pratt and his beloved wife, Mary Montgomery Pratt. Surviving David are his sister, Linda Bolin, and her husband Eddie, who David considered a brother. Also surviving David are his two brothers, Chester and Thomas Pratt all of El Dorado and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
David had a rich life filled with friends and family. He graduated from Junction City High School in 1956. He married the love of his life, Mary, and had 46 years of ''happily ever after''. Although they had no children of their own, they helped raise and care for many children when a need arose. He taught several children to ride bikes, drive cars, and was a role model for good citizenship and parenting.
David came to Conway in 1960 and worked at Clawson Truck stop for almost 30 years. He was the owner and manager of Table Grace Restaurant for five years. David went to work for Conway Public Schools and retired in 2005.
David was a proud member of the National Guard and Army Reserve where he served for thirty-two years.
David loved the Lord. He was an honest and gentle man that loved a good joke and usually had a twinkle in his eye. He was a Gideon and felt it was his mission to help provide bibles to the four corners of the world. David was an ordained deacon and was a faithful member of the Woodlawn Heights Baptist Church.
David loved politics and enjoyed taking his own polls and was usually right on the winning candidates. He served on the Quorum Court in Conway for two terms.
Visitation and Service will be at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, on Sunday, August 17. Visitation will begin at noon and the service shall begin at 1:00. Burial will be at Crestlawn Memorial Park following the service.
Ed Clawson and Greg Clawson shall officiate the service. Pallbearers will be, Ed Clawson, Greg Clawson, Mike Satterwhite, Danny Bane, Columbus Tuggle, and Larry Gault
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Gideon's International or a charity of your choice.

Only met Mr. David once at Nikki's 16th Birthday. He was the sweetest man and you could tell he loved all his nieces and nephews. He was excited as she was about her car. I know you will miss him. We will keep you all in our prayers.
