John Farrell 67, of Shirley, Arkansas passed away Friday, August 1, 2014. He was born December 11, 1946 at Buffalo, Texas to Charles Griffin and Gladys Mary (Morris) Farrell.

John was a retired U.S. Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War and Desert Storm. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church of Shirley, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Gladys Farrell, and a brother, Jay Farrell.

He is survived by his sisters, Mary Ward of Alexandria, IN; Myra Willeford of Conway, AR; and Shirley Hensley of Shirley, AR; many nieces, nephews, close friends and neighbors.

Honorary Pallbearers; Zane Ward, Jimmy Murray, Tommy Dean Collins and Al Micum.

Memorial Service will be 1:00pm Thursday, August 7, 2014 at Shady Grove Baptist Church Shirley, Arkansas with Pastors Alan Rolen and Mack Litaker officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery with U.S. Army Military Honors.

We are so sorry for your loss. We did not know until this evening. We have been out of town. John has been in our thought and prayers these past weeks. John always had that sweet smile when talking to you. He will be missed. Love and prayers to all the family members.
