Eddie Ray Covington, 69 was born to Edward and Estell Neighbors Covington on May 18, 1945 in Pangburn, Arkansas and passed away on July 17, 2014 in Searcy.
He worked as an auto body tech for over 40 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Junior Covington and Marlon Covington.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Judy Lavern Allen Covington, two sons, Ed Covington (Bridget), Billy Covington (Jana), two daughters Tammy Jo McCann(David) , all of Searcy, Lee Ann Covington of Janesville, Wisconsin, Nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three sisters, Billie Jean Ghent (Howard), Erma Dean Huntsman (Jerry), Willie Dean Staggs, (Jake), two brothers, Kenneth Covington (Carolyn), Lynn Covington (Patricia), and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation/Memorial Service will be Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2 PM at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home.

Sorry to hear about Eddie passing. He and I were school mates and we were always fist fighting. When a bully came to school from californa and jumped on me one day Eddie pulled him off of me and we gave that ole boy a whoopin he will never forget!! We were best friends from that day on!! RIP Eddie you will be missed by us all--LAMAR.

I fondly remember his work with Duncan's Body Shop a few years ago. His work ethic was second to none. All my memories of Eddie are very pleasant. My prayers are with the family. He will always be remembered.

Dear Covington family, Just wanted you all to know that you are in our prayers. The loss of a loved one is a difficult time for all who loved them. Eddie was a good man. Everyone liked him. He was such a friendly person. What I remember most about him was his gentle spirit. May God comfort you at this time as only He can.
Judy and family, so sorry to see in the paper that Eddie had passed away, I have not stayed in touch with Glen's family like I should, but ever one is still in my heart as family. You all have my deepest sympathy. Love you all
