Sandra Sue Hampton, age 70, of Bergman, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014, in Harrison. She was born May 31, 1944, in Boone County, Arkansas, the daughter of
Sam and Addie (Phillips) Plumlee. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Juanita; and her brother, E.L.
Mrs. Hampton was of the Baptist faith. She lived in Harrison for most of her life. She retired from Alltel after more than 30 years and also worked part time for Atlas caring for others. She enjoyed working in her flower beds and putting her customer service skills to work by talking on the phone to her family and friends. She was an animal lover and loved them grandbabies of hers.
Sandra is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Claudeia Hampton, of Bergman; her daughter, Susan Brunetti, of Stuttgart, Arkansas; two sisters, Helen Simpkins of Napa, California and Christine Murphy of Maryland Heights, Missouri; a brother, Junior Plumlee; nine grandchildren, Heath Brunetti, Faith Brunetti, Jade Johnson, Paige Johnson, David Green, Damon Reed, Heather Borchers, Jeff Reed and Stan Reed; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of other family; and many friends including her dear friend, Betty McCoullough.
Funeral service was Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Brown officiating.
Interment was in Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David Green, Damon Reed, Jeff Reed and Stan Reed.
Honorary pallbearers were the ICU staff at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center and Dr. Sorg.
