Euda Marie Dodd

of Fairfield Bay, AR

March 23, 1914 - June 1, 2014

Euda Marie Dodd formerly of Mozart, Arkansas entered into rest June 1, 2014. Euda was born March 23, 1914 to Bill and Martha (Farris) Branscum. She was born at Flag, Arkansas and shortly afterwards moved to Jimmy's Creek where she lived until age 18 at which time she married Aubrey B. Dodd on August 27, 1932. They then moved to Mozart where they made their home for the entirety of their married life. Euda was a homemaker; she enjoyed canning, and sewing, especially piecing and quilting quilts. In her earlier years she worked hard picking cotton and strawberries, gathering corn and helping in the hay fields. ''Granny'' enjoyed her many flower gardens and was always ready to share with friends and family. She loved babies and would always say that each generation was a little grander. Euda recently celebrated her 100th birthday with her family at Indian Rock Village in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church at Fox, Arkansas and attended regularly until her health deteriorated. She continued to read her Bible and devotions daily.
Euda is survived by one son, Donald Dodd and his wife Geraldee of Fox, son-in-law Don Lock and wife Ann of Greers Ferry; two granddaughters, Debbie (Ross) Holland, and husband Jimmy, and Rhonda (Dodd) White and husband Jim Bob; four grandsons, Mike Lock, Tim Lock, Robert Ross and wife Patricia, and Don Dodd and wife Angela; she is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, Michelle Kocher, Mandy Carlton, Martha Goins, Matt Ross, Jordan Ross, Anna Hayes, Arron Lock, Ryann Lock, Keelyn Lock, Brody White, Bryce Dodd, and Ty Dodd; fourteen great-great grandchildren, Austin and Maddison Kocher, Olivia and Jacob Carlton, Treyce, Elizabeth, and Emma Goins, Carmen and Camille Ross, Jonah and Khloe Hayes, Corey Lock, and Breella and Gus White.
Euda was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Aubrey B. Dodd; two daughters, Marie Lock and Reba Jo Ross; one great grandson Joe-Dodd White, and three brothers, Ewell, Earl, and Ray Branscum.
Funeral services are Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brother Kenny Kendrick officiating. Burial is at Fox Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Robert Ross, Matt Ross, Jimmy Holland, Don Dodd, Bryce Dodd, Ty Dodd, Brody White, and Jim Bob White. Honorary pallbearers are Debbie Holland and Rhonda White.

To Donald and his entire family, our deepest sympathies and condolences. We are saddened for the loss of your mother, grandmother. However, we are certain of the hope she placed in Jesus Christ and know that we will see her again soon! May the richest supply of God's grace meet your needs for this moment. Jim and I extend our sincere sympathy to Euda's family. I always enjoyed visiting with her at church and missed her when she was no longer able to attend. She was an admirable, Godly woman.

I am so thankful for my Granny and for the life she lived. I might not be a Christian today had it not been for her earnest devotion to God's Holy Word and for the values she passed down to her youngest daughter, my mother.
