Fern Knapp, 73 of Concord, Arkansas died May 28, 2014 at Stone County Medical Center. She was born in Cash, Arkansas on August 28, 1940 to Jess and U'Vellia (Wilson) Motes. She was a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church.
Fern was retired from Con-Agra Foods in Batesville, Arkansas where she worked for 22 years.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Knapp of the home; daughter, Sharon Knapp and Dale Pittman of Tumbling Shoals; four sons, Roger Knapp and wife Barbara of Mtn. View, Ronny Knapp and wife Tammy of Mtn. View, Steven Knapp and wife Julie of Batesville, and Jeffrey Knapp of Drasco, AR.; five grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley, Michael, Christina, and Corey; six great-grandchildren, Eli, Noah, Jonah, Corey, Kendra, and Sophie; seven sisters, Ella Mae Stroud, Melvie Kleinschrodt, Edna Williford, Wanda Fortich, Olivee Waters, Thelma Brown, Genice Cardenas, and two brothers, Elvie Motes and Paul Dale Motes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and U'Vellia; one sister, Hazel Owens, and three brothers Hershel Motes, David Motes, and John Motes.
A visitation will take place on Friday, May 30, 2014, from 6-8PM at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2014, 2:00PM also at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. Officiating are Brother Floyd Templin and Brother Roger Knapp. Interment will take place at Pentecostal Lighthouse Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Dale Pittman, Jessie Motes, Marty Motes, Mark Knapp, Brian Fortich, and David Cardenas.
Your Mother was such a kind person and I have many fun memories of her. So sorry for your loss.
