Concita M. Newell, 87, of Conway passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2014. She was born February 21, 1927, in Stockton, California to the late Bonifacio and Serila E. Magbuhos. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Teddy Cayton and her brother Mario Magbuhos.

Concita was a member of Church of Visitation in Huntsville, Alabama. She retired as secretary with NASA and at Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, and also at Air Research in Phoenix, Arizona. Concita also studied at San Francisco Conservatory of Music and belonged to Community Chorus and Toastmistress in Huntsville. She enjoyed performing in productions such as ''King and I'', ''South Pacific'', ''Guys and Dolls'' and several others. Concita loved to travel, sing, read, and visit with her grandchildren.

Concita is survived by her son, Bruce Newell of Huntsville, Alabama; daughter, Katherine Butler of Conway; three grandchildren, Jeffrey R. Butler II, Richard Butler (Lara Beth), and Emily Butler; five great-grandchildren, Michael, Joshua, Carlie, Jacelyn, and Stella Butler; sister, Rosie Moga of Modesto, California; a dear friend, Sydney Gueringer; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

A Memorial service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.
