Howard Wayne Champion, 73, of Osceola died Monday, April 21, 2014 in Searcy. Born January 7, 1941 in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Howard Houston and Dula Ann Champion, he was a member of Full Gospel Church in Keiser and a retired butcher. He is survived by his two sons: Patrick (Lindsey) Champion of Keiser and Draper (Meredith) Champion of Marion; two daughters: Phyllis (Larry) Cox of Blytheville and Gina (Eddie, Jr.) Malone of Manila; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one brother, Harold Champion of Fort Meade, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Patricia Champion.
Wayne You were a good friend and classmate. Due to our conversations about being a follower of Jesus I know you are in heaven and free from the suffering you endured here on Earth .

I went to school with Wayne at Wilson High and know he has gone on to be with our Lord and Saviour. You are all in my prayers and have my deepest sympathy.
My heart goes out to each of during this time of sorrow..May God Comfort and wrap his loving arms around you....
Patrick, Gina & Draper, I am so sorry for y'all's loss. It makes me sad that you all lost your mom & now your dad. I am still having a hard time with losing my mom, so I know how you feel. Please know that you all are in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this difficult time. Love, Candy
Wayne was a great man. Michael and I have many fond memories from when we worked with Wayne in the meat department at Food Giant. There certainly were no dull moments! Wayne you will be missed by many! Prayers for the family.
