Audrey Woolverton, age 91, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 in her home. She was born February 21, 1923 in Arlberg, Arkansas to Sherman and Laura Ann (Moody) Kesner.
She was of the Baptist Faith and worked many years as a nurse's assistant. She was an avid reader, terrific baker and there wasn't a thing she couldn't cook. She traveled the world with her husband and children while he was in the Military. While growing up, she acquired the name ''Monk'' due to her ability and love of climbing trees but she had a fear of storms, even through adulthood. She adored her grandchildren and loved a good laugh.
Mrs. Woolverton is survived by two sons: Don Woolverton of Pine Grove Mills, PA and Stephen Woolverton of Idaho; three daughters: Laura Crabtree of Harrison, Mary Rawley of Brainerd, Minnesota and Rebecca Waller of Sandersville, Georgia; 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harry Wooverton; and 3 sisters: Gladys, Opal and Vergie.
Memorial service was Friday, March 7, 2014 at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Gary Crawford officiating. Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery
Hi I miss you and your birthday is coming up so happy birthday! I hope you are with your sisters and your mom also brandon. I wish we had spend more time together.
We hope you are with Dad and Granny, and all the other loved ones of our family that have gone before you. I don't know what I'm going to do without my Momma, but, I know that you will always be with me and in my heart. We love you.
The last of the Kesner sisters. A reunion now in Heaven.
