Mike Chor, age 68, of Lead Hill, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013, at UAMS in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born May 4, 1945, in Harrison, the son of Joseph Patrick and Edith Marie (Penix) Chor. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Max Richey.
Mike was a bricklayer and farmer. He was a coon hunter. He trained, hunted and showed Blue Tick Coon Hounds. He served on the Board of Directors of the Blue Tick Breeders and Coon Hunters Association. He and Kenna Lou made many lifelong friends through the hunts and shows. He was an avid fan of baseball, softball, and basketball. Watching his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews was his greatest joy.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Kenna Lou Chor, of the home; his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Amy Chor, of Conception Junction, Missouri; and five grandchildren, Andy, Ashley, Sarah, Stephanie and Steven Chor, all of Conception Junction, Missouri.
Mike is also survived by his mother-in-law, Bonnie Richey, of Lead Hill; his brother-in-law and his wife, Roy Max and Tami Richey; his sisters-in-law, Stephany Whited and family and Becky and Gary Van Meter and family; his aunt, Helen Tillman, of Lead Hill; many cousins, nieces, and nephews; his church family at Lead Hill Church of God; and many dear friends.
Visitation was Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Thursday, December 19, 2013, at Lead Hill Church of God, with Bo Norman and Jack O'Neal officiating.
Pallbearers were Andy Chor, Steven Chor, Roy Max Richey, Chad Yocham, Gary Van Meter, M. K. Richey, Evan Yocham and Scott Boaz.
Interment was in Milum Cemetery, Lead Hill, Arkansas.
Memorials may be made to Gideon Bibles, Milum Cemetery, or charity of choice.
