Eldred Otis Rogers, age 84, of Harrison, died Sunday, September 15, 2013, at
North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison. He was born at Lead Hill, Arkansas, the son of Tom and Dolly (Flippo) Rogers, on February 8, 1929. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother, Alvin Rogers; and his brothers, Rhuel Rogers, George B. Rogers, and Gene Thomas Rogers.

Eldred attended Dominion Life Church in Bergman, Arkansas. He attended Possum Trot School as a youth. He married his loving wife, May Lorine Warren, on July 9, 1949, in Lead Hill, Arkansas. Mr. Rogers worked as a master welder for National Tank Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 10 years. From there he went to work for Turney Wood-Harrison Furniture for 26 years, after which he became a machinist for Wabash. Eldred loved playing the guitar and enjoyed going fishing from time to time.

Eldred is survived by his loving wife, May Lorine Rogers, of Harrison; his daughter, Linda Darlene Rogers, of Harrison; his son and daughter-in-law, Roy Eldred and Vicky Rogers, of Conway, Arkansas; his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Kay and Jimmie Reece, of Harrison; his grandchildren, Adam Rogers of Hawaii, Jared Rogers and his wife Nicky of Florida, Josh Reece and his wife Liz of Conroe, Texas and Jordan Reece of Fayetteville, Arkansas. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Eva and Isaac James Reece; and several loving nieces and nephews.



Visitation was Tuesday, September 17, 2013, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service was Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bro. Doyle Burnett officiating.

Interment was in Maplewood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Jimmie Reece, Anthoney Henson, Jim Jennings, Guy Young, Jordan Reece and Roy Rogers.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Charles Klepper, the staff of Apple Ridge Health and Rehab Center, and Eldred's dear friends from Wabash.

To Mrs. Rogers,Linda,Sharon and the rest of the family our thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time,Charles worked with Eldred for many years at Wabash and enjoyed working with him very much,he said he was one of the hardest workers he ever seen.May God wrap his Loving arms around your whole family at this time.
