Ruby Luvee Harp, age 84, of Harrison, died Monday, June 3, 2013, at Apple Ridge Nursing and Rehab in Harrison. Mrs. Harp was born on April 11, 1929, in Newton County, AR, the daughter of Willie John and Valley (Thompson) Taylor.
Mrs. Harp was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cotton Harp, whom she married on April 22, 1950, in Boone County; her son, Gene Harp; and a brother, J.C. Taylor.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Sandy Keister, of Batesville, AR; two sons, Roger Harp of Huntsville, AR and Ricky Harp of Hoxie, AR; a brother, Dub Taylor; 17 grandchildren, Tonya Oliver, Tony Harp, Christy Moore, Bobby Harp, Kevin Harp, April Traylor, Michelle Harp, Dora Hickman, Justin Keister, Stephen Keister, Angela Akers, Destiny Keister, Carley Keister, Alex Keister, Hayden Keister, Stephanie Keister and Sophie Keister; and 22 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Harp was a member of Grubb Springs Baptist Church and certainly enjoyed her children and all her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Services were Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Rick Brisco will be the speaker.
Visitation was Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Justin Keister, Tony Harp, Shayne Hickman, Bobby Harp and Chakota Harp. Honorary pallbearer was Dr. Corey Jackson.
