of Harrison, AR
October 18, 1956 - March 29, 2013
Kevan Eugene Mathis, age 56, of Harrison, moved to Heaven Friday, March 29, 2013. He grew up in church, the son of a missionary Baptist preacher, Gene Mathis, and Veda Jo Harness.

Kevan will be remembered by all who enjoyed him for his spirited storytelling, his love of words, and for his love and kindness towards others.
Kevan was preceded in death by his father Gene Mathis.
Among the people who will always cherish their time with Kevan are his wife and best friend, Pam; hsi mother, Veda Jo Smith; his daughter, Aubri Luckey, and husband, Michael; his son, Spencer Watson, and wife, Allison; his son, Ryan, Watson and wife, Taylor; beloved grandsons, Elias Thorn-Watson and Reece Watson; his brother, Kim Mathis and wife Arlette; as well as many other special family members and friends.

Kevan and I worked together at the paper, and we pulled a few pranks together, too. The world is a poorer place without him, but I am grateful for the happy memories I carry of Kevan and the joy he brought me and many others. Pam and family, I am so sorry for your great loss. He was a good guy.
PC-John and I were so shocked to see where Kevan entered into eternity. It just breaks our heart for you. You loved him so much and so well. Oh, please know how we are with you in love and are lifting you before the throne of God for peace, comfort, and His presence. Just imagine my arms wrapped around you. Kevan is victorious - he's with Jesus! I love you so.
