Clarence N. Yoder, age 77, of Harrison, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2013, in Harrison, Arkansas. Mr. Yoder was born November 24, 1935, in Norfolk, Virginia, to Noah and Sadie (Schrock) Yoder. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rhoda Yoder.
Clarence is survived by his four sons and their spouses and his six daughters and their spouses, Carolyn Sue and Lavern Eash of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee, Clarence and Barbara Yoder, Jr. of Harrison, Arkansas, Merle and Irene Yoder of Hutchinson, Kansas, Doris Elaine and Mart Eash of Jesup, Georgia, Cynthia Diane and Roger Helmuth of Tryon, North Carolina, Melody Ann and Allen Helmuth of Chapels, South Carolina, Lois Marie and Merlyn Bender of Humbolt, Nebraska, Levi Yoder of Screven, Georgia, Marty Kay and Felix Hershberger of Franklin, Kentucky and Marvin and Maggie Yoder of Jesup, Georgia.
He is also survived by two sisters, Lena Swartsentruber and Sarah Yoder both of Montezuma, Georgia; two brothers, Allan Yoder of Fairview, Missouri and Noah Yoder, Jr. of Pennsylvania; fifty two grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and many dear friends.
Visitation was Monday, March 3, 2013, at Cornerstone Mennonite Church, Harrison, Arkansas.
Funeral service was Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Unity Baptist Church in Jesup, Georgia, with Melvin Yoder and Clarence Yoder, Jr. officiating.
Interment was in Lake Grace Mennonite Cemetery, Jesup, Georgia.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Eash, Tyler Bender, Dwayne Helmuth, Donnie Eash, Ryan Helmuth and Shane Hershberger.
