I miss the days of gathering in Scranton with all of the family--Grampa John Layes, Gramma Estelle, Uncle Johnnie, Uncle Ronnie, Aunt Clarine, Uncle Charlie, and all of our cousins, when my mom, Teresa Layes Roos, and dad, Bill, and my younger siblings and I would visit from out of town.

Unforgettable memories and adventures, chasing the fireflies in the darkness, the smell of honeysuckle on the breeze, and feeling totally loved by everyone.

And chiggars.
