Sewretha Jewel Douthit-Holder, 77 of Houston, Texas formerly of Magazine, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012 in Katy, Texas. She was born July 24, 1935 in Magazine to her parents Thomas Jefferson and Ruby (Davis) Douthit. She was a secretary for Lynn-Elliot Oil and Gas Company for 10 years and a member of Reveille Valley Primitive Baptist Church.
Sewretha is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Ruby Douthit and a brother Thomas Jefferson Douthit Jr.
Sewretha is survived by her husband of 57 years Louis Baxter Holder of the home; one son Christopher Holder of Houston, Texas; two sisters Gahlia Isaacs of Magazine, Arkansas and Lucinda Blair of Norfork, Arkansas, and several other family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Reveille Valley Primitive Baptist Church in Magazine, Arkansas officiated by Elder James Issacs.
Burial will follow in Evans Cemetery in Magazine under the direction of Roller Funeral Home in Paris.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Holt, Harold Holt, Jake Isaacs, Fred Riddle, T.A. Riddle and Johnny Williams.
