We are so very sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time.
I am so sorry for your lose. I was just asking about him the other day with my daughter Brianna who dated Derek. He will be missed praying for the rest of the family. Jesus know it was time for him to come home to do his work from Heaven.
My deepest sympathy to the family for your loss, it is comforting to know that when Jesus walked the earth, he resurrected loved ones back to life on earth, such as Mary and Martha's brother; Lazarus -John 11:43, 44. These same miracles will soon take place again, but on a much larger scale. Jehovah God has given all authority to his son, Jesus Christ to resurrect all those in the memorial tombs – John 3:16; John 5:27–29; Psalms 37:11.
Scott, Tracey, and Zachary; my thoughts and prayers are with you all. Derek was a great young man and we're all going to miss him. I'm incredibly sorry that you all have to go through such a tragic loss. He was a great friend to me and I'm going to miss him like crazy. God be with you all.

Tracey, Scott, and family, I was shocked and saddened when I heard of Derek's passing. I will never forget when he came to the office one day with you and walked into my office. He was about ten at the time. It was break time and I was leaning back in my chair listening to the radio. He hollered at you and said" Hey Mom, I want this guy's job, he doesn't do anything!!" My prayers are with you. May God bless you in a very special way. Jim Walker Conway
Tracey, Scott and Zac, I can't imagine the pain that your hearts have at this time. I am sorry for your loss and please call if you just need an ear to listen.
Thoughts and Prayers are with your family. Derek was a great firefighter and will be missed. From the
Greenbrier Fire Department, please accept our cincere condolences in your time of loss.
There are times when words are just not adequate - and this is one of those times. Derrick was my and Jamison's Hog Buddy - the basketball games will never be as much fun without our "boy"! We love him and will miss him more than we can say. Thinking of all of you.
Scott and Tracey, God blessed you both with an amazing son in Derek. He always had a smile on his face and a hand extended to all who met him. Derek was a kind and caring person just like both of his parents. We are going to miss "Trouble" on the baseball field helping coach. Wooster lost a great person but God gained a perfect angel. We love you.
