Margaret Elizabeth Smith, of Little Rock, went to be with her Lord at the age of 82 years on August 3, 2012 at Baptist Health Medical Center. She was born May 19, 1930 in Macon, Georgia to the late Charles Edwards and Pearl Chapman Edwards.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James E. Smith, three sisters, one brother, two daughter-in-laws and one great-grandchild.
Surviving loving family are daughters, Joni Hogue (Stephen), Patsy Kindred (Mike); sons, Joseph Miller, Jimmy Miller, David Miller and Allen Smith (Liz); six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jackie Spann (Howard).
She was a long-time member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church.
Our family would like to express our appreciation to the staff of Briarwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care our much loved mother received from them.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, August 5, 2012, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas, (501)224-8300.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 6, 2012, at Pinecrest Memorial Park, with Reverend Larry Ballard officiating.

Mom,for some reason this year has been so hard during these holidays.I miss you so much.I can,t believe it's been five years.I know your watching over us and that helps.tell daddy I love and miss him.please keep Richard close to you.he s so tiny.I love you mom.hug Jimmydan for me and tell him he was the greatest dad a little girl could have ask for.I wish I could feel your hug and kiss on the lips one more time.lol.all us kids thought that was so funny,but not anymore.wish we could just jump in the car and take one more crazy ride.I love you.

I just learned today of your loss. Margaret was a dear sweet person that I enjoyed seeing almost every day. I will truely miss her smile and visits.
