Robert E. Stewart, 89 of Greenbrier went to be with his Lord, on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Born in Fouke, Arkansas, on April 25, 1923, he was a son of William O. and Fannie O. Lynn Stewart. Mr. Stewart was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a graduate of Arkansas State Teachers College and retired from the Amoco Oil Company, where he had been Chief Operator Technician. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church and served as a deacon for many years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret McClung Stewart, his parents, William and Fannie Stewart and a brother John Stewart.
Survivors include his daughter Annette Williamson; grandchildren: Brandy Aslakson, Denise Rowland, D.J. Williamson and Katrina Kimble; great grandchildren: Lanae Davidson, Missie Baggett, Calvin Williamson, Bobby Lee McElroy, Gavin, Gabriel and Grant Rowland and Melanie and Conner Williamson and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, on Monday, July 23, at Springhill Baptist Church, with Pastor Ed Stephenson officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Cemetery. Visitation will b held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, on Sunday, July 22, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
