Myrtle Faye Edwards, 96, of Batesville, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2012. She was born on December 26, 1915, in Magness, the daughter of Charles and Myrtle Smith Magness. She will be missed by her daughters Kay Edwards Morreale and husband Tony of Nashville, TN; Virginia Edwards Ketz and husband Wesley J. ''Butch'' of Batesville; granddaughters Susan Houston and Amy Fenton and husband Cy of Nashville; Greta Wilson and husband Kevin and Kristi Ketz-Mulick and husband Patrick of Batesville; Ashley Ketz Nolan and husband Aaron of Springdale, AR; and 9 great-grandchildren in addition to sister-in-law Willeen Edwards Luoma Rhodes of Arizona and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband E.C. Edwards, who died in 1974, and by sister Lucille Magness Cooper and brothers Woodrow Magness and Perry Magness.
Her daughters and granddaughters have been nurtured by her love for them, her patient and gentle nature, and her many sacrifices on their behalf. She has always been a strong supporter, encouraging friend, as well as a faithful follower of Christ. Her life was characterized by her unwavering faith and devotion to her family. She will be greatly missed by her family.
The family appreciates the kind, supportive care and attention given to her by her friends and the staff at Eagle Mountain Assisted Living during the last 3 ½ years. They are especially thankful for the care given to her by her loving and devoted caregivers Pat Troy, Carolyn Waugh, and Caroline Osburn.
Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Blue Springs Cemetery in Newark where she will be buried beside her husband.
Pallbearers are Cy Fenton, Elliott Fenton, George Fenton, Charles ''Rusty'' Ketz, Aaron Nolan, and Kevin Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Patrick Mulick, Dr. Robert Walton, J. Gary Edwards, and Richard Owensby.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harrison Street Church of Christ, 1536 Harrison Street, Batesville, AR 72501 or your charity of choice.

I am sorry to hear of Myrtle Faye's passing. Even though it has been years since we have met, Myrtle Faye has been a continuing part of conversations with my father, Byron Waldrip. I know how much he loved her. I send my sincere sympathy to Myrtle Faye's family and understanding in their loss.

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss and feel the love that I have for all her family. Myrtle Faye and I shared so many precious memories from childhood as we grew up together and finished high school together. She may have left us but she will not be forgotten!
