My mom & dad (Joetta & Elywon Hughes) took our family to visit Paris every spring break and we always stayed at Spec & Mary Ann's house. Mary Ann would take us to paint ceramics or fix my hair. I loved watching the grown-ups play cards until late in the evening - laughing and telling stories. I have so many wonderful memories of our visits to Spec & Mary Ann's house. She was a very generous loving person. Praying for your family.

Spec and Mary Ann were like second parents to my late husband, Elywon Hughes. When I married him after his first wife died, it wasn't long until he took me to Paris to meet them. I felt at the first visit the bond between the Hughes and the Breed families. Friendship with Mary Ann is one of the treasures in this life that I will forever cherish. I'm sure she and Elywon have already greeted each other in heaven. Love you Spec and praying for you at this sad time.

I know how beautiful a person Mary Ann was, because I know what a fabulous job she did in raising her son Scott and I've heard the beautiful stories about her life through Kim. I'm sure the family feels sorrow but at the same time you must feel graced to have been blessed with such fortune to have had Mary Ann in your life. My heart and prayers go to your family.
