Earnest L. Harper, Sr., 66 of Tucker, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Thursday May 17, 2012. He was born in Lonoke County on May 10, 1946 to Levi Buck Harper and Pearlie Bell Ridgle.
Earnest was of the Pentecost faith. He worked at Crate and Basket for 46 years.
He was preceded in death by his parent; one sister, Louise Akins; and one brother, Larry Harper. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Thomas Harper; four sons, David Harper(Shonda) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Earnest L Harper Jr.(Dina) of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Jonathon Harper and Edward Harper of Tucker, Arkansas: three daughters; Rebecca Harper and Mary Harper Pope(Corey) of Little Rock, Arkansas and Pamela Harper Hughes(Thomas) of Jacksonville, Arkansas: eleven grandchildren: four sisters; Bobbie Ramey(John) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Janice Thrasher of Tucker, Arkansas, Derenda Harper Fowler(Steve) of Hawaii and Betty Foley of Jacksonville, Arkansas: five brothers; Damon D Harper(Stacy) of Houston, Texas, Milton Harper(Janice) of Sherwood, Arkansas, L.V. Harper(Gertha) of Little Rock, Arkansas, Randy Harper(Charlene) of Jacksonville, Arkansas and Rick Harper(Beverly) of Austin, Texas along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday May 26, 2012 at Roller England Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 A.M. with visitation on Friday May 25, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. at Roller England Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be Central Baptist Cemetery in Gethsemane, Arkansas

I am so sorry for your loss. Earnest was a great man and I am so sad he had to leave his family so soon. I will remember him with his big smile always present, his love of his family, and his strength of character.
I worked with Earnie at Little Rock Crate & Basket for
30 years and I know they will really miss him. Earnie
was a very fine genlemen and was a great person
to have worked with.

We've all lost a great friend, brother, dad, grandfather, and mentor. I will always cherish the time i had with Earnest, my friend, mentor, and lifelong larger than life example of a man ! All our prayers and thoughts are with Margaret and all the family, we love you all, may God Bless Earnest and all the Harper family.
Our deepest condolences go out to the family. We already miss Earnie terribly. There is a void where Earnie was in our family that can never be filled. We at Little Rock Crate will remember him always, his warm smile and gracious nature.
