Stella Jane Green, of Marianna, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at age 72.
She was born August 3, 1939 in Lee County, Arkansas to the late John C. and Zeda Hughes Roemhild.
Stella lived her entire life in the Marianna area and was very much a homebody. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She loved her cats, feeding them each morning even before she ate. She was an avid gardener, and enjoyed canning the produce; and she especially loved her grandchildren.
Stella is survived by sons Don Earls, Sr. of Pontotoc, MS; Lonnie Earls, Sr. (Stephanie) of Pontotoc; and Tony Earls (Leona) of Marianna; daughters Teresa Green of Marianna; Lucille Pippenger of Marianna; and Debbie Fraze (Tommy) of Palestine, AR; eighteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Johnny Roemhild of Marianna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, James Earls; her second husband, Clyde Green; one brother, James Roemhild; one granddaughter, Stella ''Punkin'' Earls; and by two sons-in-law, Bill Green and Jackie Pippenger.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012 in Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel in Marianna. Burial will follow in Marianna Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Thursday evening at the Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

May your faith in the saving grace of Christ’s ransom sacrifice comfort you and bring you peace. On April 5, 2012 the commemoration of the death of our Lord Christ Jesus will be held all over the world. “As often as you eat this loaf and drink his cup, you keep proclaiming the death of the Lord, until he arrives” 1 Corinthians 11:26; John 11:21-26. I am so sorry Teresa and everyone. I have been thinking about you ever since I found out she was in MS. You are a strong lady and you will make it through this. If you ever need anything I'm here for you.
