Savage Delon Holt, 75, of Timbo entered into rest May 25, 2011 at his home.
Savage was born March 17, 1936 in Timbo, Arkansas to Ambros J. and Flora C. (George) Holt.
Savage was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church. He worked and retired from the Blanchard Shirt Co. and was for many years the Timbo Township Committeeman.
He is survived by his children: James Holt and wife Leslie of Wilkes-Barre, PA; Penny Oden and husband James of Timbo, AR and Tammy Knierim and husband Doug of VanBuren, AR; seven grandchildren: Robert Holt of Mtn. View, Kyle Passmore of Onia and Bret Passmore of Danville, Melissa and Emily Knierim of VanBuren and Ashlee & Jenifer Holt of Pennsylvania and three great-grandchildren, Shelia and Jennifer Holt of Mtn. View and Shelby Passmore of Onia and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ambrose and Flora Holt; wife, Retha Holt; three sisters, Vera Costner, Inez Long and Martha Martin.
Visitation is 6 8 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Roller Coffman Chapel, Mtn. View.
Funeral service is 2 p.m., Friday, May 27, 2011 at Fairview Missionary Baptist Church, Timbo with Bro. John Morrow and Bro. John Rogers officiating and interment in Pordue Cemetery, Onia.
Pallbearers are Robert Holt, Kyle Passmore, Bret Passmore, Scott Sefton, James Oden and Doug Knierin.
Roller Coffman Funeral Home, Mtn. View is in charge of the arrangements.
I am very sorry to hear about Savage. I worked with him at the shirt factory for several years. He always had a happy face. I talked to him a lot and he would always make me laugh. He was a very nice man. May God Bless you all during this time. I am very sorry about Retha also. She was a very sweet lady. I really enjoyed working with her also. We had a lot of times together.
