Will Dean Akins, 83, of Mountain View entered into rest on December 24, 2010 in Mountain View.
Will Dean was born February 7, 1927 in Big Flat, Arkansas to Lee and Sadie (Brewer) Akins.
He was employed in the timber, railroad and mining industries.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Forshee) Akins; daughters, Lynn Akins of Rosie and Vickie Sloan and husband Randy of Mtn. View; grandson Stacy Sloan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Sadie Akins; two brothers, Frank and Rubel and several half-brothers and half-sisters.
Graveside service was held at 3 p.m., Friday, December 24, 2010 at East Richwoods Cemetery, Mtn. View with Bro. Donald Gene Turner officiating. Pallbearers were Rusty Long, Jamie Beach, Don Sloan, Ted Sloan, Randy Sloan and Stacy Sloan.
Roller Coffman Funeral Home, Mtn. View is in charge of the arrangements.
