Aunt Sharon was my mother's sister, Geneva Gipson Mitchell. I remember Aunt Sharon from long ago when I was first married and had one son. I would write letters to her about my life and my new baby and she would write me back. I am so thankful my mom and Aunt Sharon found each other again after so many lost years. Once they found each other again my mother would always tell me when they spoke on the phone. I know my mother was happy to have been able to visit Aunt Sharon. I know my mother will cherish those times she spent with her in her home as well as many phone calls. Aunt Sharon will be missed and will never be forgotten. May God give you comfort at this time. Sharon' s sister Geneva (my mother) asked that I leave a message for the family, that we are thinking of them during their time of loss, and that she will most certainly be missed.

Ann, Laura, and Sherry I can only begin to imagine the hurt ya'll are going through, I just know how I hurt just being her niece. I do not even want to begin to think about having to go through with my own Mother what ya'll are going through. I know the Lord is the only one who can help us make it through the pain and hurt and He is waiting with arms wide open for us to step into them and He will wrap His arms around us to comfort us.

Aunt Sharon you got your wish one year and two days after losing the love of your life, in God's time He took you. You told Mom and I you wanted to go, but you knew you had to wait until God was ready and on December 12th, 2010 He was ready. I know you, Dickey, Uncle Milburn, Poppa and Momma along with other family members must really be rejoicing. Our hearts are so sad and heavy, I can only speak for myself but I would not call you back to this world for anything.

I can still remember meeting you for the first time when I was just a little eight year old girl and I loved you from the beginning. I had friends as a teenager, but I wasn't a typical teenager I guess, because I would rather be with my mom or you, and next to my mom you was my best friend. I can remember both of you always trying to get me to go to ballgames at school and be active in school functions, but I would rather be with my mom or with you and your kids.

I told you on Saturday night before I left the hospital that if I never saw you here again, I would definitely see you on the other side and I fully intend to keep that promise. I am so ready for the Lord to return and take His children home! I Love You, Your favorite niece!

Our love and prayers are with you. We treasure our memories of time spent with Sharon and Milburn. Our family loved that little Indiana girl from the moment she came into our life. Our loss is Heaven's gain and we will meet her one day.

Sharon Rose, I wonder if her parents knew when they named their lttle girl, how appropriate the name would be. Could they have imagined the sweetness that would flow from her? I was just a little girl when I met Sharon and I fell in love with her.

Girls, I know you are lost without her. However, Heaven just became sweeter. You are all in my prayers. Your mother truly was a Sharon Rose.

Love to you all,
Your Cousin
