Hugh P. Moore, 84, of Sidney passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020.
He was born on October 7, 1935 in West Monroe, Louisiana to James W. Moore and Nora Elizabeth (Dillard) Moore.
Hugh was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading, gardening and painting pictures.
Survivors include his wife, Carol (Swords) Moore; three daughters, Brenda Patrick (Steve) of Oxford, Arkansas, Lyn Rieger (J.P.) of West Monroe, Louisiana and Dianne Moore of Cave City, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Benjamin Moore Tyler, Brad B. Tyler and Stephanie Carol Patrick Bissett; three great-grandchildren, Grayson Thomas Tyler, Honor Claire Bissett and Brave Patrick Bissett; one brother, James Rodney Moore Sr. of Columbia, Louisiana; two sisters, Pat Breland (Jim) of Monroe, Louisiana and Frances Moore Parker of West Monroe, Louisiana; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Herman Moore; and two sisters, Shirley Jean Donaldson and Virginia Langley.
Pallbearers are Justin Swords, Raymond Swords, Sidney Swords, Steve Patrick, Tony Brooks and Greg Bissett. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Herrington.
Graveside services will begin at 2:30 pm Monday, January 6, 2020 at Caney Springs Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne with Pastor Gary Wallace officiating.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm Monday, January 6, 2020 at the funeral home.
