Doyle "Bowser" Webb, 94, of Mount Pleasant passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2019.
He was born on August 11, 1924 in Bexar, Arkansas to Orgil E. Webb and Sarah (Holland) Webb.
Doyle was a good Christian man and an Elder at Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during World War II. He was all about family and enjoyed telling stories and jokes. He used to always say that tomato juice and vinegar would cure anything. He was a bus driver for the Mount Pleasant school district and always gave out candy canes to the kids at Christmas. He loved to sit on the front porch and people watch and enjoyed to plant and garden.
Survivors include his two sons, Darell Webb of Mount Pleasant and Rick Webb (Sheila) of Guion; daughter-in-law, Betty Webb of Mount Pleasant; brother, Jack Webb (Joyce) of Peculiar, Missouri; sister, Diane Finley (Glenn) of Kansas City, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Sharon Blevins, Karen Savell, David Webb, Kim Dale, Brandon Webb, Josh Webb, Joey Webb, and Robby Webb; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Leola "Tootsie" (Bray) Webb; son, Carrol Gene Webb; two daughter-in-laws, Brenda (Branscum) Webb and Gail (Garrett) Webb; brothers, Don Webb, Bob Webb, and Gerald Webb; sister, Nadine McMahan; and one granddaughter, Tara Lee Webb.
Pallbearers are David Webb, Brandon Webb, Josh Webb, Joey Webb, Robby Webb, Austin Savell, Bryan Blevins, Kinley "Dobber" Dale, and Payton Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Davis, Gary Hutchins, Leon Hutchins, Earvin Moser, and Charles Brooks.
Funeral Services will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Barren Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Alan Meinzer and Payton Webb officiating. Burial will follow at Barren Fork Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne.
Memorials may be made to Barren Fork Church or Cemetery, 780 Barren Fork Rd, Mount Pleasant, AR 72561.

One of the best people I have ever known has gone to be with his Lord. I can say he always treated me with kindness and made me feel great when I was with him. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend. Bowser made this world a better place while he was here and his memory will be cherished. May the Lord impart that perfect peace to the family.

Every time the Church doors were open you could find Doyle in the same place - usually with one of his greats sitting with him. He was a CHRISTIAN who influenced family and friends - and what a reunion he is having now! Of course, our condolences to Darrell and Rick in the loss of their father.
