So sad to hear of Jim's passing. He told great stories and was fun to hang out with. Was hoping to hear he had found a villa in Puerto Rico. Rest in peace! Hope your family will always honor your memory and your service to our country.
To Jims remaining family, we played and grew up together and will always have good memories of one of my west side buddies. He had a wit about him I always liked. The Ives family was fun to be around. May you rest now Jim.
Jonathan, Megan and Betsy,
I am not able to be there tomorrow, but I want you to know how sorry I am for your loss. Your dad was a great guy! When I was younger, I was star-struck. He played in a band, had a car with doors that opened upward, and bought me my first ever album (Dreamboat Annie by Heart) with his first paycheck from Peaches record store in the mall when he lived with my family while saving to get his own place. He could tell the BEST stories ever! For a cousin, he was pretty high on a pedestal in my eyes. After he enlisted, we always looked forward to his visits home. My mom loved him and Donald so very much and he was a big part of our family, so much so that we waited on him to get to the hospital before removing my mom from the vent the morning she passed. After mom passed, I loved visiting Batesville and just driving around with him for hours listening to the history of our family and of Batesville. He could make even a boring subject interesting. I will hold dear the memories I have with your dad. He loved you three so very much and was very proud of each of you! Love, Hugs and Prayers,
Jodi Hooten Logan
I was saddened to hear about the passing of Jim. Hadn't seen him in several years but I will always have good memories of Jim, Donald, JL, and Joan.
Sorry to hear about Jim's passing on. Anita called me and let me know. He will be missed.
I am so sorry to hear about James. My thoughts and prayers are with each of your families.
Jim was a good man and a good friend. I will miss him and all his stories of his adventures. Peace be with him and his family.
Nick considered Jim one of his best friends. They have known each other since first grade. And of course, they played in St. Peters Roadshow together. I've heard so many stories about Jim's piano and the potato chip truck. We enjoyed visiting with him after he moved back and Nick going to smoke a cigar with him and the guys. We will truly miss him. Praying for the family.
So saddened by this news . Your Dad had a caring and loving heart. Thinking of all of you.
