Alma Dobbs

of North Little Rock, AR

April 27, 1927 - October 11, 2018

Alma Dobbs, age 91, passed away on October 11, 2018. She was born to the late Jesse Hogue and Pairlee Talley on April 27, 1927 in Mount Vernon, AR.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Dobbs and daughter, Janie Horn; stepson, Steve Dobbs.

She is survived by her son, Bob (Mary) Graham; daughters, Mary (Roger) White and Brenda (William) Dobbs; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Alma obtained her accounting degree back in the day, but decided that making people look and feel better about themselves is what she loved. So for 20 years, she was a professional hairdresser. Alma loved and adored her family and in her later years, enjoyed spending her time doing crossword puzzles, crocheting and knitting. A very special and heartfelt thank you goes to Alma's granddaughter, Jacqulyne Walls, for all the years of selfless love she showed her grandmother while caring for her.

A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, 501-791-7400. Burial at Edgewood Memorial Park. Visitation from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, October 12th at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to be made to Friends of Recovery Foundation, Inc; 1305 W Markham St, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201.

We will miss our Aunt Alma. She was a inspiration to all that knew her. She has been sick for many years and so glad she is in Heaven now with a new body. She is enjoying her family and friend that went before her. Prayers for all her family that she left behind.

I’m so sorry for your loss. What has helped me in times like this is Revelation 21:4 which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” I hope this will comfort you as it has me. If you need anyone to talk to, feel free to reach out to me.
