Thomas John Brown, age 83, of Conway passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Tom (T.J., ''Bud'') was born on June 25, 1935 in West Helena, Arkansas. Tom married Brucine on June 2, 1958 and were inseparable until her death in 2007. Over their years together, Tom and Brucine went from Helena to Akron, OH where Tom worked for Yokahama Tire. In 1979, they journeyed to Roanoke, VA where they lived until Tom retired. They were the proud parents of two children, Thomas Jerome and Alisa Gayle. They remained in Roanoke until relocating to Conway, AR in 2005 to be near their daughter and her family. Tom was a faithful member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church where he was a reliable member of the Bus Ministry. In his retirement years, Tom drove a shuttle for The University of Central Arkansas.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl and Tressie Leona, and his wife, Brucine Morton Brown.

He is survived by his children: Thomas Jerome Brown (Kathryn), and Alisa Gayle Brown Chamblee (Charles); Grandchildren: Justine Tyler Brown, Claire Eileen Brown, William Charles Chamblee and Jonathan Thomas Chamblee; and great-granddaughter Isabella Claire Pinnock Brown.

Funeral services will be held at Woodland Heights Baptist Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 13 with visitation preceding the service at 10:00 AM. Services will be under the direction of Roller-McNutt and will be officiated by Dr. Charles Chamblee and Dr. Larry White. A graveside service for immediate family will follow the service at Crestlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Tom to Woodland Heights Baptist Church or to the American Cancer Society.

TJ was my boss for over 30 years. He was my friend and mentor. He was like my father after I moved to Roanoke , Virginia . He was
one of the finest men I have ever known in my life.

Tom was a dear, kind Christian man who was a friend to all who knew him. I am sorry for your loss. The void he leaves will be one that will only be filled with our Lord's loving care.
Because He Lives!
