Oneta Swafford Watters Bufford, 98, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Mountain View Nursing and Rehab. Oneta was born on December 14, 1919 in Ben, Arkansas to the late Clay and Laura (Evans) Swafford. Oneta was of the Christian faith and very active in church. She was a homemaker, farmer, and a very dedicated hard-working woman. Oneta was very active in her early years as a 4-H club leader and EHC. Oneta helped raise both her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.

Oneta is survived by four sons, Junior Watters of Mountain View, Arkansas, Wheeler Watters and wife Olivee of Mountain View, Arkansas, Claud Watters and wife Shirley of Mountain View, Arkansas and Lynn Watters of Greers Ferry, Arkansas; one daughter, Carolyn Garth of Greers Ferry, Arkansas; one brother, Troy Swafford and wife Bobbie of Mountain View, Arkansas; two sisters, Daisy Goins of Mountain View, Arkansas and Elsie Endsley and husband Russell of Heber Springs, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; as well as many extended family and friends.

Oneta was preceded in death by her parents Clay and Laura (Evans) Swafford; two husbands, Clarence Watters and Dalton Bufford; four brothers, Thadus Swafford, Roy Swafford, Ray Swafford, Larkin Swafford; one sister, Bertha ''Susie'' Thomas; son-in-law, Frank Garth, and daughter-in-law, Rosie Watters.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Roller Crouch Chapel in Mountain View, Arkansas. Funeral services are Wednesday, October 3, 2018, 1:00 PM at Arbanna Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas with Brothers Glen Swafford and Floyd Templin officiating. Interment will follow the service at Friendship Cemetery in the Ben community.

Pallbearers are Tim Watters, Tony Watters, James Cecil Watters, Keith Richardson, Bobby Garth, and Seth Templin. Honorary pallbearers are Lena Templin, Lisa Branscum, Sheila Rackley, Mary Lockridge, Linda Ruth Evans, and Tara Burleson.

Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
