Alma Janice Turner, 93, of Jonesboro, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at St. Bernards Hospice. She was born July 14, 1925 in Jonesboro. Mrs. Turner and her late husband owned and operated Turner Sewing Machine and Monogram Shop. She was a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.

Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Billy James Turner; her parents, James Bedford and Linnie Victoria Jackson Green; and three sisters.

Survivors include her son, Daniel James Turner; daughters, Patti Jean Turner and Lisa Ann (Ron) Long; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a brother, James Jackson Green; and a sister, Gladys Loveless.

Funeral services will be 10 am Friday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home with Bro. Rodney Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 pm to 7 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Dan Turner, Randy Turner, Matt Turner, Chad Turner, Adam Long and Jody Long will serve as pallbearers.
