Carl William Baskins, 82, of Marion, Arkansas, born August 20, 1936 in Cross Co, Arkansas and died September 12, 2018 at his home surrounded by his wife, Mattie Baskins, of 63 years and his loving family. Mr. Baskins was a member of the West Memphis Church of God, Co-founder of Baskins Tire and Service Center in 1981 and was a long-time business owner in West Memphis since 1969. Mr. Baskins was very active in his local church and community.
He is survived by his wife, Mattie Baskins of Marion; daughter Kathy Wicks of Marion; Sons: Steve Baskins(Staci) of Marion; Danny Baskins(Teresa) of Houston, Tx; and Tim Baskins(Karen) of Forrest City; 8 grandchildren: Rachel Lynd, Skyler Evance, Alexis Baskins, Adrienne Deen, Jessica Baskins, Andrew Baskins, Kristen Roberts and Kayla Griggs; 15 great-grandchildren: William Lynd, Jeremy Lynd, Rebekah Lynd, Paxton Evance, Ryder Evance, Brooklyn Baskins, Wilson Baskins, Elijah Deen, Allysha Deen, Allyana Deen, CiAna Roberts, Kara Roberts, Cullen Roberts, Emery Griggs, Sullivan Griggs; 1 great- great-grandson: Michael Lynd; Brothers: Clyde Baskins of Ash Flat, AR; Joe Baskins of Wynne, Ar; Louis Baskins of Gallatin, Tn; Sisters: Tollise Henderson of Wynne, Ar; Billie Jean Clegg of Colt, Ar; Betty Jane Baskins of Wynne, Ar; Peggy Watson of Columbia, Mo; Preceded in death by Willie and Lottie Baskins of Wynne, Ar; Robert Baskins of Chicago, IL; Dorothy Summerhill of West Helena, Ar; Catherine Bozart of Wynne, Ar and Geraldine Pierce of Wynne, Ar.

Mattie Bell and family,: I am so saddened to hear of Carl's death. Our lives go way back to the early 60's when I became a part of the extended, loving Baskins family. So many wonderful memories of those days . You are in the hearts and minds of my entire family as we grieve with all of you in this loss. He was such a wonderful, loving husband and father. He always did the right thing, was a great Christian and his living examples as a father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, grandfather, etc. exemplified God's love to others.
