Faye Barnard, 89, of Vilonia, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 4, 2018. She was born October 20, 1928 in Gurdon, AR to the late Lawrence V. and Addie Jane Freeman. Faye was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Arnold W. Barnard and one daughter, Aronya Gail Colston.
Faye was a dedicated homemaker who raised five children. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all. Faye was a peacemaker and a lady of multiple talents. She was a great cook and was best known for her chocolate pie. Faye enjoyed reading, gardening, and crocheting but most of all spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Faye is survived by three sons, Lawrence Michael Barnard (Kathy), Alan Wayne Barnard (Diana), and Barry Richard Barnard (Anna) and one daughter, Jeri Denise Rivera (Roman), 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren and many extended family and friends.
I am a 82 year old first cousin of Faye. Her dad, Lawrence, and our dad, Guy, were brothers. My 93 year old brother Marvin (Timer) were sitting reminiscing and I just found out about Faye and Maye. I am so sorry that we have all been out of touch all these years, but I am so sorry that she is gone. Love and hugs to all her family.
Faye had a beautiful soul. This world lost a little treasure with her gone. I was lucky to have known and loved her.
I will miss you. This is not goodbye, this see you later. Say hi to Papa and Mom for me. I love you. Rest In Peace.
I only knew Ms Faye for a few weeks, but I grew attached to her pretty quickly. She was sweet, caring and all the above. I enjoyed taking care of her and seeing her family the last few weeks of her life. She will be greatly missed. My condolences go out to her whole family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I miss you Ms Faye and love you dearly. Thank you for letting me take care of you, I enjoyed all of it.
