Billie James Peel

of Little Rock, AR

May 15, 1931 - September 1, 2018

Billie James Peel died September 1, 2018. He was born on May 15, 1931 in Clinton, Arkansas to Willie Maddox Peel and George Sam Peel. His siblings, Ona Lovelady, Laura Rasberry, and Bobby Peel along with his parents predeceased him.

Much of Bill's adult life was spent in a little community called Bragg City in the bootheel of Missouri, but his heart was always in his hometown of Clinton. He was Baptist by faith and attended church regularly until he was physically unable to do so.

Survivors include his sister, Anna Shreeve (Kent) of Little Rock, his aunt Betty Ruth Bonds of Parthenon and many adoring nieces, nephews and cousins. He was absolutely the best brother a sister could have, and he brought a smile to everyone's face who knew him.

A special thank you to the wonderful staff who cared for Bill at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation in Little Rock. A private burial will be at Bradley Cemetery, Clinton, AR. Arrangements by Roller McNutt Funeral Home, Clinton.

Hello Anna and Kent:

So sorry for your loss. He always had that big smile and kind words to share.

I called Aunt Betty this morning (Tues) and she told me about a memorial to be held later. It was our school reunion over the weekend so have been away for several days.

Thinking of you and Kent with all the burdens going on--will contact you later.

Respectfully,

Robert Lee & Mary Margaret

Back in the late 1940’s Bill was my best friend. We were walking to the sale barn one day and Bill found some money. I don’t remember how much it was, but he gave me half. That’s the kind of person he was. My condolences to the family.
