Paula Merle (Short) Roland, 92, of Conway, AR, went to be with the Lord Monday, August 20, 2018. Paula was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church in Conway. She devoted her life to her family and the Lord. She enjoyed gardening, reading, and spending time with her grandkids. Paula was loved very much by her friends and family, who will dearly miss her beautiful smile and all the home cooked meals made with love.

She was born February 12, 1926 in Damascus, AR to the late Fred and Emmie (Megee) Short. Paula was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Charles Roland, Jr., 2 grandchildren, David Wayne Roland and Shanna Marie Holliman; brother, Chester (Ada) Short, sisters, Marie (Doyle) Norwood, Marian (Gerald) Ward, Minnie Lee (Jim) Stewart; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Short.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving family, son, Charles Wayne (Patty) Roland, daughter, Margaret Sue (James) Holliman both of Conway, grandchildren, Leela Holliman of Toronto, Canada, Lori (Jeff) Sinsley, and Robert Roland; 4 great-grandchildren, Brianna, Makayla, Tori and Hazel Sinsley; brother, Edgar Short of Wichita, Kansas, and many nephews and nieces.

Graveside service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Old Liberty Cemetery in Conway, with visitation one hour prior at Old Liberty Cemetery with Pastor Jason Altman officiating.
