Dale Buie ''Mr. Lumberjack'', 60, of Lexa, Arkansas passed away Monday, August 6, 2018 at his home. Dale was born January 28, 1958 at Helena, Arkansas to the late William Richard Buie and the late Doris Ellen Buie Corbitt. He graduated from Petit Jean Vo-Tech with a degree in Diesel Mechanics. He owned and operated Lumberjack Tree Service for over 30 years and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in West Helena.
Mr. Buie is survived by his wife of 34 years, Belinda Smith Buie ''Mrs. Lumberjack'' of Lexa; son, Zack ''Lumberjack, Jr.'' Buie (Brittany) of Lexa; daughter, Aliesha Buie Immel (Brandon) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Mark Buie, Jr. ''Buie Knife'', William Buster Slade Buie, Landon Dewayne Immel, Peyton Buie Immel, John Drew Buie, Delta Grayce Buie, and Timber Dale Buie; and a brother, William Richard Buie (Virginia) of Marvell, Arkansas. He also leaves a niece, Courtney Buie and four brothers-in-law, David Wesley, Jimmy Troy Smith, George Smith and Daniel Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mark ''Baby Lumberjack'' Buie, Sr. and beloved family dog, Dixie Buie.
Funeral services for Dale Buie ''Mr. Lumberjack'' will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 11,2 018 at the United Pentecostal Church in West Helena. Brother Kenneth Harman will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral beginning at 9:00 a.m. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Helena, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Corbitt, Ricky Pitts, Hunter Jackson, James Holloway, Jamie Ford, Terry Sandefer, Lee Vanderford and James Kitchens. Honorary pallbearers are Mark Moneymaker, Reubin Chamness, Sonny Odom, Sunny Helton and Jack Huey.
Family request memorials be made to the Humane Society of the Delta, 8480 Phillips 300 Rd., Helena, AR. 72342.
