Mrs. Trowell was my math teacher at Hall High School in 1976. She was always fair and motivating. Mrs. Trowell challenged intelligence and made you think about the future.
I just heard today about Judy's death. That is a sad moment in my life. For a number of years I knew and worked with Judy on the CMP and ACTM. I consider her to be one of the three most influential people with whom I had the pleasure of working with to advance mathematics education in Arkansas. My condolences to Fred and her sons. Rest in peace, Judy, my dear friend and valued colleague.
Fred and family, we are so sorry for you loss of Judy. She was a very nice person. We are praying for all of you during this sad time. If we can do anything, please let us know. Your neighbors around the corner.
I was deeply sadden by Judy's untimely death. From the time we met as teachers at Hall in the 1970’s, it was clear that Judy was a special kind and caring friend and a wonderful educator. She remained so and will be missed by many.My thoughts and prayers are with her family and with her friends in this time of great loss.
Fred and family, I'm saddened to learn of the loss of a dear, sweet childhood friend. Judy lived a few blocks from my sister, Donna Wirt, and me. She was a delight to have as a friend and Judy was the one all of us neighborhood kids went to for help with our math homework. Prayers and comfort.
Mrs. Trowell was my math teacher for my senior year (1969) at Hall High. After graduation, I took a math course at LRU (UALR) and she taught that class. She was one of those teachers that one remembers, cared about each student, and recognized and help those, like me, that needed a little extra instruction.
My sincere condolences to her family, and friends.
Wonderful memories of this sweet lady, who put up with their basketball goal & bench making their yard the gathering place for all the neighborhood kids every day. Prayers for all.
Fred, I am so sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed being
around Judy, though I hadn't seen her for several years.
Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your
family.
