Leah Marcy Thomas

of Searcy, AR

February 28, 1967 - July 20, 2018

Leah Marchelle 'Marcy' Thomas, 51, of Searcy, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 20, 2018. She was born on February 28, 1967 to Virgil and Wanda Thomas.

Marcy was blessed with two lives. The Marcy, through 18 years of age, was a tomboy that loved cowboy boots, and playing tennis. She was involved in the social-service organization at her high school, called I-Teens and loved participating in the Youth Group at South MacArthur Church of Christ. After one semester at Texas Tech University, she had a car accident coming home for Christmas. The Marcy who survived was a special young lady that blessed everyone she met and made them feel like the most important person in the world. She smiled and laughed everyday, making others join in as she exclaimed, ''Golly, Molly'', and ''Bologna Mastroni''. If you stayed for any amount of time, she would beat you every time in a game of King Corners.

Marcy is survived by her parents, one sister Marisa Arnold of Brookland, AR, and two nephews Adam Moore and Hunter Arnold, as well as other family members and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday July 24, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at Roller-Daniel funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday July 25, 2018 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens.

Lari and I (the twins) have so many wonderful memories of Marcy from elementary and on. She was so kind and energetic. She always made us laugh and we always had fun together. She loved to take photos in high school and was a great friend. Many prayers for her family. We are blessed to have known her.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Marcy's family and friends. She and Marissa were 'my kids' in fourth grade at M. C. Lively Elementary, in Irving, TX. I have wonderful memories of our times together and will be praying for those she left behind. God bless you all!

So much of my early life was full of you, Marcy. You were a passionate and loyal friend to everyone you met. You inspired us to be better to each other and also better at everything we do. You were an example of grace and courage after disaster and your family gave their all for you when you needed them. I am so thankful that heaven now has the privilege of your amazing person and I know you are enjoying limitless ability. God speed dear friend. To the family ... thank you for giving us Marcy and for your tireless efforts to maintain her comfort and dignity.

Marcy was a dear friend from elementary school through high school... l many fond memories of good times. She and I sang a duet in middle school.... we played the guitar and sang Anne Murray’s Snowbird... I still have the recording. She was a special soul before and after her accident. Love and prayers to her sweet family.

Our prayers go out to "Marcy's" family. She had such a sweet spirit, and was able to touch many people with her kindness. Though she will be terribly missed here, she's now in a better place. We'll take her memories with us, wherever we go.

Marissa, I was so sorry to hear of your sister’s passing. Janet and I will not be able to attend the service but wanted you to know that you were in our prayers. I also pray that people who knew Marcy well will share in the joy of her life and the help you divide the pain of her home going as they surround you and your family with love. Just a verse with an encouraging reminder, “to be absent from the body is to be preset with the Lord”.

We will always remember your family as a part of our family history. We have many good and lasting things we've shared. We also traveled some hard roads together. Our hearts grieve for your loss but rejoice in the future we will share in such a short time. Our prayers continue to follow your family. Praise God that our journey is short and our future is secure.

We will always remember the happy times that we shared with Marcie at your home. How she loved to work puzzles and play card games, especially Kings on the Corner and how she wanted to win -- but if we didn't try hard enough, she would help. We especially enjoyed her love for anything that said Texas Tech and it was fun to send her items for her room. Bill always enjoyed kidding her about Texas A&M and she would kid him back.
