Jimmie Dale Sterling, 68, of Judsonia passed away July 13, 2018 after an 11 year battle with cancer. He was born on December 20, 1949 to the late Dewey Nathaniel and Opal Lee Overstreet Sterling in Searcy, Arkansas. Mr. Sterling was of the Baptist faith.

Jimmie and his wife Linda owned and operated Sterling & Company until their retirement. Jimmie loved horses and owned several race horses which he enjoyed watching them race. The most important thing to Jimmie was his family and he loved them and was loved very much by all of them.

Jimmie is survived by his wife, Linda Sue Sterling of Judsonia; his sister, Betty Sue Sterling of Judsonia; Ashley (Jamie) Rowe of Searcy, one step-daughter, Sharon (John) Walker of Brockwell and one step-son, Rusty Crawford of Rose Bud; ten grandchildren, Scott, Brooke, Wesley, Grant, Emmalee, Kenzie, Greenleigh, Sterling, Austin and Dale; one great-grand son Kaleb; one aunt, Bernice O'Hare of Springfield, Missouri and one uncle, Dwayne (Carol) Sterling of Van Orin, Illinois along with a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel in Searcy with visitation at 10:00 AM prior to the service 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Interment will be at the Fredonia Cemetery in Bald Knob. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested Memorials to be made to the Fredonia Cemetery Association at Southern Bank or First Community Bank.
