Lossie May (Goldsmith) Nelson age 93 of Clarksville left to join the love of her life Clyde on Friday, July 6, 2018. She was born to the late Harve and Mary Anglin of Patterson Springs on April 30, 1925. She married her first true love Clyde Emmit Goldsmith on February 8, 1939. Together they had one son Jerry Emmit Goldsmith. In 1946 she drove a log truck for her husband Clyde and helped him in the Timber business until a tragic sawmill accident took his life in September 1952. She later remarried and became a mother to four stepchildren: Gail, Jim, Jack, and Carol Warren. Lossie went to Beauty School and started her own beauty shop, which she ran until the mid-1960 in the late 60's until 1972 she owned and operated the Village Market Gas & Grocery at Woodland. After that she worked for 15 years as a fiberglass form finisher for the Farm All Corp. in Knoxville and retired from there in 1987. Lossie enjoyed painting, pictures, sewing, rearranging the furniture, and helping others. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and a friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde, brothers Rubin, Johnny, and George Anglin, Sister Bonnie Young and daughter in-law Dorothy Goldsmith.
She is survived by one son Jerry E Goldsmith, grandson Vance Goldsmith and wife LeLona, step children Gail Rhodes, Jim, Jack and Carol Warren; nieces Glenda Gibson, Carol Champayne, Laura Valie, Bertha Young, and Linda McMahan; nephews Mike & Frances Dean Anglin, and Junior and Ray Young; plus countless other nieces, nephews, and other step grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Needy Paws Animal Shelter in Clarksville, The Sherman Cemetery at Low Gap, or The Gideons International Bible Placement Program.
A service to celebrate her life and times will be at a later date.
