Tonya Lynn Pender, 65, of Cape Girardeau, MO passed away July 6, 2018. She was born August 28, 1952 in Fort Smith, AR to Robert and Iletha Cockrell. She was a homemaker that loved keeping her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband: Marlin Pender of Cape Girardeau, MO; daughters: Kristy Cain (Lee Malone) of Blytheville, AR and Leighann Ludolph (Mike Sullivan) of Cape Girardeau, MO; grandchildren: Harley Grimes (Hannah Beth), Justin Day (Trinity), Lane Golemon (Peace), Riley Cain (Mary Claire) and Olivia Green; sisters: Angie Blaylock (Phillip Fleming) of Osceola and Robyn Davison of Alexandria, LA; father: Robert Cockrell of Alexandria, LA; and nieces: Nonnie Blaylock and Courtney Cothern. She was preceded in death by her mother Iletha Cockrell and her best friend Cathy Brewer.

In high school, whenever you would see Tonya, she always had a smile on her face! I cannot think of a time that I ever saw one not there. Even though as we all grew up and went our separate ways, I was thankful that our class could keep in touch. May her family have peace with their loss and know that Tonya is with the Lord. Prayers for all family and friends.

Marlin and family I am so very sorry for the loss of Tonya, my heart breaks for you all. Prayers and thoughts go out to you all during this most difficult time. I still remember how hospitable she was when your Mom passed and we all needed a place to stay and she insisted we stay with you at your home, she was such a kind woman and will be missed dearly by you all I am sure.
