Mary Lou Morris of Paris, Arkansas passed away on June 9, 2018 with Alzheimer's. She was born January 9, 1942 in Paris, Arkansas to the late Matthew Curtis and Hattie (Johnson) Paris. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her sister, Patsy Turner, grandmother and grandfather, Matthew and Ollie Johnson who raised her and her siblings.
Mary was a member of the First Christian Church in Paris. She was a stay at home mom while her children were young. She retired from Peterbilt Motors in Denton, Texas. She was the sweetest person I have ever known.
Mary loved genealogy and traced her family back to a General in Washington's Army who had a brother that signed the Declaration of Independence. Mary was very proud of her ancestors. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved the outdoors, golfing, boating, fishing and gardening with her husband.
Mary is survived by her husband of 58 years, Douglas L. Morris, four children, Cathy Krauss and husband Doug of Magazine, Arkansas, Mark A. Morris and wife Viktoriya of Denton, Texas, Scott A. Morris of Haslet, Texas and Roger A. Morris of Haslet, Texas. She was known as MaMa to her grandchildren, Emily, Nicholas, Chole, Carson, and Sophia Morris. She is also survived by two brothers, Johnny and wife Gene Johnson of Hackett, Arkansas and R.L. ''Butch: and wife Kay Johnosn of Paris, Arkansas.
Mary's celebration of life service will be held at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, Arkansas on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 P.M.. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday morning at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor H.C. Varnadore officiating. Sorry for your loss. Rememberr Mary Lou in high school. She was part of the drug store crowd after school. A very sweet and cheerful lady.
