Caring for people is a very hard yet rewarding profession as a healthcare provider, becoming attached and feeling true compassion for people like Preston and Teresa is probably both the hardest and easiest part of the job! It was very easy to openly and genuinely care for this couple through a truly difficult time, and it was hardest to leave them on my last shift that week. We as humans can never know an exact date or time for death for that is not our role, only the Lord can call us home. But compassion comes when pain is recognized and treated regardless of outcome, listening with an empathetic ear despite the million other things going on or you think may be important in the moment just listen and pay attention, sometimes that’s all a family or a patient needs to clue the nurse in on a problem. Preston knew his Tuesday was significant he knew it long before the rest of us, and he knew the importance that day would hold for all of us left behind. Thank you Lord, for honoring me with having this family in my care for a brief time may you all find comfort and peace and know that Preston has found his.

So sorry for your loss may you find peace and comfort in the words spoken at
2 Corinthians 1:3 & 4" Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort,  who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God

Dad, Thank you for being such a wonderful Father to me, and for all the things you taught me along the way, I will forever cherish all the great times we had together from teaching me to ride a bike, shoot a gun, and espically your favorite, "fishing". I miss you so much and have so much heartache that I don't know how to go on without you, but you have always told me that if anything happened, I better get on with my life and not cry over you, but I can't do that daddy, and I'm sorry. R.I.P Daddy, I'll see you again one day. I love you so much dad. Love, CARSON KEEL.
