Richard Parker, 91, of Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born on August 30, 1926 in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late Edmond and Frances Parker. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel (Everett) Parker, one son, Richard D. Parker, and one daughter, Donna Parker.

Richard was a member of First Baptist Church of Hot Springs. Richard began his career as a high school teacher and basketball coach where he met the love of his life Hazel. He was fortunate to have 63 years with her before her passing. He also cherished their time together camping and fishing. He was retired from Chevrolet after serving many years as a General Manger. He served his country during World War II while serving in the Army.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy (Jim Price) Parker of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren, Madison Parker and Malissa Parker; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Hot Springs with Pastor John McCallum officiating. Internment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Hot Springs.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. at the church.

Memorials may be made in honor of Richard Parker to First Baptist Church of Hot Springs, 2350 Central, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901.
